Apparel Imprint Locations

In a previous blog we introduced and defined some key terms commonly used in the promotional products industry to help you make informed decisions about what to include in your imprint. While most products only come with one possible imprint location, there are some that can easily have two or more imprint options. In this blog we will take a look at some examples of apparel that can be customized in more than one location. Further customizing merchandise, beyond what’s offered by default, can help you create a truly unique product and increase the efficacy of your message.

The most common place for apparel such as t-shirts to be imprinted is the full front, which makes sense considering how spacious and visible the area is, allowing your logo to include more details and receive more attention. What you probably didn’t know is that in addition to the full front, t-shirts can also be imprinted on the back, sleeves, the yoke (a few inches below the neckline), and on the chest!

Now let’s take a look at some instances where it may be beneficial to make use of these different imprint options. The back is a good alternative to the full front for printing highly detailed graphics, as the imprint area on the back of most t-shirts is sufficiently large, and still earns a high number of impressions. For visibility purposes printing on the back of t-shirts can help identify members of a team such: as staff, volunteers and emergency response personnel. These would be useful for charity events fundraisers, and outdoor festivals.

Left and right chest imprints are suitable for branded uniforms as they can include the company name on one side and the employee name on the other side. Our G230 is a good option as it features a left chest pocket which can be imprinted with your company logo. These would be useful for restaurant industry workers and coffee shops looking to create a more cohesive look. Branded jackets and vests are regarded as high-end items that could be used for these occasions.

Printing on the sleeves either right or left is a good option if you would like to make a more personalized product. Brands can print a message on one or both sleeves in addition to their logo. This is a trendy alternative to printing all your information in one place. Making attractive, trendy products can help you create rapport with the public, and increase brand recognition. Another idea is to place your message or logo on the yoke (back neck area), which is a more subtle way of branding. Staying in touch with such trends makes your product more attractive if you are looking to retail apparel. Try one of our hoodies or one of our long sleeve tees which are always loved by the public, and have high retail value when customized.

Apparel is among the most customizable products available as these can be personalized with your logo in more locations than one. There are different occasions where making use of these additional imprint options can help you increase the efficacy of your message. Additional imprints do cost a bit extra, but if you really want to show off that logo or show employees how much you care it may be worth going the extra mile!
