The year is quickly drawing to a close which means that for a lot of businesses it’s time to begin thinking about next year. During this time, many firms will carefully analyze their revenues and allocate an advertising budget to fulfill their marketing needs for the upcoming year. At COMDA we refer to this time of year as “Busy Season” due to the increased volume of requests and sales that we receive from clients preparing their advertising campaigns. As a result, we must take the necessary measures to ensure we are prepared to handle an influx of inquiries.
The first step we take towards ensuring your advertising needs are being met is to hire more personnel. Between September and December we bring in the help of approximately 8 co-op students each year to help us with the Fall Mailing Campaign. As part of their enrollment in the Business Management Program at Seneca College students must complete a certain number of hours in a workplace environment that will prepare them for industry and their future endeavors. This program allows the students to gain some insight about working in a fast-paced office setting while allowing COMDA to expand their resources in an effort to provide customer satisfaction.
Secondly, during the busy season staff is encouraged to enroll in the “Extended Time” program. As part of this program, our regular staff will work additional hours, on top of their scheduled shifts to ensure the company is meeting its goals for the year. Between September to December we are open on Saturdays and our hours of operation are longer. This a symbol of our commitment to our customers, which shows how involved we are, and how much we care about the product we output.
During this crunch time, we always remind our staff how important they are, and how much we value this extra effort. We strive to encourage a positive environment as we understand that keeping a team motivated is absolutely crucial for ensuring a quality product. At the end of the day, we know how much our dedication means to our customers.
