On September 11th 2018 we hosted our 4th annual Golf Tournament at RedCrest Golf Club. We feel honoured and lucky to be a part of this great initiative aimed at raising money for cancer research. All proceeds for this event were donated to Canada’s longest standing and most trusted cancer charity; The Canadian Cancer Society. We especially thank ourvendor partners for their unconditional support as their involvement is helping to improve the lives of those affected by cancer.
For the 4th year in a row our vendor partners, golf supporters, family and friends gathered together for a jam-packed day of activities which we will not soon forget. In addition to participating in the tournament, each golfer received a complimentary welcome bag of sponsored gifts, on course lunch and drinks, complimentary 19th hole and buffet dinner with wine. After dinner raffle prizes and a live auction of major gifts, capped off the day. Our goal was to raise $50,000, we are pleased to say that we surpassed this goal! Thanks to donors and our vendor partners all expenses for the event were covered, all participant and sponsor monies will be donated $67,000! This brings our four-year total to over $270,000, making us one of the biggest contributors to this cause.
COMDA decided to join the fight against cancer as many of our own employees, their families, and friends had been in one way or another greatly affected by the disease. We would like to give back to the community and support programs which can address significant issues prevalent in our community. Our effort to raise money for cancer research is aimed ultimately at eradicating the disease. We are hoping that our funds will help the Cancer Society find newer more effective methods of dealing with the disease. Throughout the year we support different events that are designed to raise awareness and funds to support cancer research.
Special thanks to our supporters & volunteers who helped put this event together.
